Lending Library Membership

Five per cent of profits go directly to 100 Story Building, a social enterprise developing creativity and literacy for children and young people.

The Gorgeous Nothings Lending Library is a private collection of carefully chosen books, drawn from the shelves of people we admire and from our own.

Together, these volumes offer a glimpse into the ideas, images and worlds that shape the house: art, design, fashion, literature and the quiet disciplines behind making. Some are rare. Others are simply enduring. Each has been shared with us for a reason.

The collection will continue to change, as new volumes arrive and different curators share books from their shelves.

Access is offered through annual membership. Members may reserve one volume at a time, with each loan lasting forty-five days from dispatch. Books are shipped directly to members, with return postage provided.

Each member receives a bookmark handmade from silk organza.

Many of these books belong to personal collections. We ask that you care for them as you would your own. Overdue volumes may incur replacement charges; lost or damaged volumes will be charged at market value.

The Lending Library is available to residents of Australia.
