The Reading Room

The Gorgeous Nothings Reading Room is a private lending library of carefully chosen volumes.
Each title has been selected for the ideas, images and worlds that continue to shape the house.


The collection reflects what informs our work — art, design, fashion, literature and the quiet disciplines behind making.
Some volumes are rare. Others are simply enduring. All are personal to us.


Access is offered through annual membership.
Borrowing operates on a rolling basis, with each member entitled to reserve one volume at a time.


Books are shipped directly to members with return postage provided.
Each loan period extends for forty five days from dispatch.


Volumes not returned within the allotted period may incur replacement charges.
Lost or damaged titles will be charged at market value using the payment method held on file.

The Reading Room is available to residents of Australia.
